Does AI read my personal information?
Yes, when you click "Optimize with AI", the text in your editor is sent to our AI providers to rewrite and format it. However, this is done via standard API calls, and we do not store your data on our servers. We do not build profiles of applicants.
How many resumes can I optimize for free?
There is a generous daily quota for AI optimizations per device to ensure the service remains free and fair for everyone. The quota resets every 24 hours.
What file formats can I download?
We provide your resume as a clean, ATS-optimized PDF document, which is the standard preferred by almost all employers.
Why is my resume not ATS-friendly?
Many people use complex templates with multiple columns, images, tables, or custom fonts. Applicant Tracking Systems often fail to parse these correctly. ResumeUp forces a simple, single-column format that robots can read easily.
Can I use ResumeUp for cover letters?
Yes! We now have a dedicated cover letter generator. You can create a tailored cover letter from your resume and a job description, and download it as a PDF.
